This weekend: "A Very Asbury Holiday" show rocks the Paramount Theatre

It’s not just an assembly of artists you know and love — it’s all for a good cause, to boot.

For the second year in a row, our friends at the Asbury Park Music Foundation have announced “A Very Asbury Holiday,” a collection of the area’s best musicians performing with an all-star house band in the spirit of holiday tidings.

Tickets for the concert, happening this Sunday (Dec. 8) at the Paramount, are on sale now through Ticketmaster and the Stone Pony box office. Tickets start at $29.

Last year’s event sold out, according to the Asbury Park Press. And with a lineup boasting members of Bon Jovi, Vanilla Fudge, the Patti Smith Band and others, Sunday’s show has all the makings for another memorable night on the boardwalk.

Confirmed participants, according to the Press : Everett Bradley’s Holidelic, Pat Guadagno, JaQuita May (a member of Steven Van Zandt’s Disciples of Soul, which rocked the APMFF in 2017), Layonne Holmes, Jillian Rhys McCoy, JT Bowen (Clarence Clemons), Pat Roddy, Eddie Testa, Anthony Krizan, Deseree Spinks, Emily Grove, Williams Honor, Billy Hector, Lisa Lowell, Joel Kraus, CC Coletti (Meat Loaf), Jim Babjak (Smithereens), Gene Cornish (Rascals), Carmine Appice and Vince Martell (Vanilla Fudge), Alexis Krauss (Sleigh Bells), Lance Larson, members of the Black Suburbia Music Group, members of Shady Street Show Band, members of Moroccan Sheepherders, DeSoL, Bobby Mahoney, Ian Gray and the Ocean Avenue Stompers, Vince Martell, Lance Stark, Mark Leimbach and The Weeklings.

Additionally, the Press reports that Tony Perruso, Tommy LaBella, Graham Maby, Tony Shanahan (Patti Smith Band), Rich Scannella, Tommy Meares, Doug DeHays, Benny Harrison, Arne Wendt and Vinnie Cutro will make up the house band. WABC news anchorwoman Michelle Charlesworth and legendary area DJ Lee Mrowicki will emcee.

A release issued by the Asbury Park Music Foundation notes that the event will benefit the Asbury Park Toy Drive, Jewish Family & Children Services, The Mercy Center Family Resource Center and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County.
